Nutrition with a Minor
This track is for students who have a strong interest in nutrition and who wish to take a complementary minor. Popular minors include biology, business administration, chemistry, and exercise sports science. Graduates pursue employment in research, food management, wellness, and in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).
The foods and diet we choose are essential to our health. Nutrition integrates many scientific disciplines with the goal of improving health and the well-being of individuals and groups. If you have a desire to understand the role nutrition can have on health and prevention of disease, our Nutrition with a Minor degree program may be the right path for you.
Students will understand the role that diet and nutrients in our food play in maintaining good health and preventing chronic disease across the lifespan.
