Hiring Personnel
Reminder
- Faculty remember that approvals for any payments, including stipends, must be applied for and received before your employee can begin work.
- If you plan on hiring a student worker, UGIA, and/or Graduate Student, please complete the appropriate section below.
- Important Information: It is against university policy to have an employee hold an hourly and salaried position concurrently.

Undergraduate Students (Hourly)

New Student Worker
Please follow the steps below if you have not worked for Texas State. You can deliver your forms to Courtney Downey in FCS 101 or scan and email them to Courtney Downey (cld211@txstate.edu) via Texas State Secure Transfer. Include your A0# and date of birth in your email.
Please complete the following required forms.
Optional Forms:
Collect original identification (I-9) documents. These can be sent via Texas State Secure File Transfer to Courtney Downey (cld211@txstate.edu).
Final step: you will receive an email from HireRight Customer Support (noreply@hireright.com) you will be required to fill out your section of the I-9.

If you are currently a student worker at Texas State or have been with the past year, please email Courtney Downey and include your A0#, date of birth, and the faculty member you are working under.

Follow these steps if you have not worked for Texas State.
You can deliver your forms to Evette Hernandez in FCS 101 or scan and email them to Evette (eh17@txstate.edu) via Texas State Secure File Transfer.
Here are the steps to assist you with your hiring paperwork.

- Final step, you will receive an email from HireRight Customer Support (noreply@hireright.com) you will be required to fill out your section of the I-9.
